Assessment of Serum Apelin Level in Iraqi Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy Patients

چکیده
The present study is investigated the relationship between Apelin concentration and various biochemical parameters in patients with type2 diabetic nephropathy. A total of 30 diagnosed Diabetic Nephropathy at Al-Yarmouk Al-Karama teaching hospitals were included compared to 40 healthy individuals forming control group. was identified a significant increase among type 2 nephropathy, Additionally, analyzed, strong correlation found their concentrations levels. Considerable elevation serum nitrogen compounds like urea creatinine, as well fasting blood glucose glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) observed nephropathy patients. positive both creatinine levels observed. Conversely, negative glomerular filtration rate (GFR), indicating potential implications for kidney function these These findings emphasize significance monitoring along other variables essential indicators management understanding Further research could offer valuable insights into interventions treatment strategies improving patient outcomes.

Neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL) in early detection of nephropathy in type 2 diabetic Iraqi patients
Background: Diabetic nephropathy is a common complication of diabetes mellitus type2. The neutrophil gelatinase Associated lippocallin (NGAL) is an ubiquitous protein consist of 178 amino acid. NGAL can be identified in plasma and urine starting 24 hours after a kidney injury resulting changes in glomerular filtration and tubular reabsorption and with increased secretion in tubular epithelial c...
متن کاملAssociation of Uric Acid with Antioxidant Capacity of Plasma in Patients with Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy
Background: The role of attenuation in antioxidant capacity or expansion of pro-oxidant/oxidant is well known for the development of stress oxidative. The aim of this study was to evaluate the plasma antioxidant capacity along with uric acid in patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN+) and without diabetic nephropathy (DN-). Materials and Methods: The research population included 88 patients ...
متن کاملProgression of diabetic nephropathy enhances the plasma osteopontin level in type 2 diabetic patients.
Osteopontin (OPN) is thought to play multiple roles in the progression of atherosclerotic plaque including diabetic vascular complications. However, it still remains unclear whether the level of OPN in vivo is indeed clinically associated with the progression of diabetic complications. This study evaluated whether the levels of OPN in plasma and urine are correlated with the progression of diab...
متن کاملSerum arylhydrocarbon receptor transactivating activity is elevated in type 2 diabetic patients with diabetic nephropathy
AIMS/INTRODUCTION Evidence is emerging that exposure to persistent organic pollutants (POPs) is a risk factor for obesity-related diseases and for diabetes mellitus (DM). We found that POPs could be measured by a cell-based arylhydrocarbon receptor (AhR)-dependent reporter assay. We tested if serum AhR transactivating (AHRT) activities are a risk factor for diabetic nephropathy in people with t...
متن کاملThe Assessment of Serum Apelin-12 Level in a Variety of Pulmonary Malignancies in Smokers
Background: Apelin has recently been considered as an adipokine secreted from visceral fat. Apelin and itsreceptor exist in many tissues including lung and play significant roles in many physiological andpathological activities. However, serum level of apelin-12 is unknown in smokers and in various types of lungmalignancies. There...
